I am a certified Business Coach (DBCA) of Dr. Bock Coaching Akademie, one of the most successful coaching academies in the German-speaking region. Dr. Petra Bock’s specially developed training reinterprets the classical methods in systemic and solution-oriented coaching, and combines them with positive psychology to a coaching approach that meets the demands and the dynamics of the 21st century.
My path to coaching
I have always been a “busy bee” - whether in school, in university, or during my professional career: I never had just one job, only one hobby, or one honorary post.
A degree in industrial engineering sounded just right (some people say that as an industrial engineer you could do everything a little bit, but nothing really). Through the extraordinary alumni network, I learned what a strong sense of community and a common higher goal can achieve.
Through my several years of professional experience in a large international corporation, I not only got to know the corporate world; I also had the opportunity to develop and implement the company-wide Diversity & Inclusion strategy. This includes, among other things, the establishment of a women's network and a reverse mentoring* program.
*In contrast to classic mentoring, reverse mentoring means the young employees are the mentors whose support is requested by executives.
I was able to gain and strengthen the conviction that I can successfully overcome challenges, learn and dare new things and build trust in myself, above all through coaching. Only in this way did I dare to take new professional paths and become certified as coach and diversity & inclusion trainer.
It became possible for me to consciously and purposefully pursue my true interests and to deal with the doubts and fears that - of course even then - arose ("But I studied industrial engineering! Can I really change my career path?"). These skills I would like to pass on to as many people as possible.
Because I believe that coaching combines effective personal development with positive social change.
